El Mecanismo del Miedo
An editorial project I like a lot. Cover illustration and lettering for Mexican writer Norma Lazo’s novel «El Mecanismo del Miedo» (The Fear Mechanism). The plot is centered on a strange young girl, her far-out family, medieval machines, other-wordly creatures and a dark mansion full of stories. As usual, using traditional and digital techniques. The title was designed to fit within the architectural motives of the illustration, featuring especially-made letter design and ornaments. This book, in a superb hard-cover edition, was published by Random House/Mondadori for their Montena label.
