FOCA detergent illustration
Illustration for Foca, a popular Mexican detergent. Combining digital and traditional techniques, I made this illustration about twelve years back. An iconic, popular product found in many Mexican households to this day, it’s manufactured by Fábrica de Jabón La Corona. This illustration replaced an earlier one of an adult seal that was very realistically –if not quite enticingly– executed, in use for more than forty years. This one, depicting a new, soft, tender, baby seal, is used now in all product presentations, from little boxes to huge containers.
